Regional Sales Director
The Cincinnati USA Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is an aggressive sales, marketing, and service organization whose primary responsibility is to positively impact the city’s economy through convention, tradeshow and visitor expenditures. We currently have a regional, home-based convention sales position available in Chicago to develop leads for the Cincinnati USA CVB through personal contact, telephone solicitation and participation at industry functions. In this position you will:
- Develop working relationships with corporate and association meeting planners and maintain high visibility in the meeting planning community by building awareness of Cincinnati USA via aggressive networking, sales calls, and industry involvement within Chicagoland and Midwest Region.
- Identify potential leads and respond to clients’ requests for information.
- Service existing accounts.
- Assist Cincinnati USA sales team in converting leads into booked business.
- Maintain good product knowledge of the destination including convention centers, hotels, attractions and special event venues.
- Conduct meetings and deliver presentations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years experience in sales in hospitality industry or hotel sales required.
- BA/BS degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Familiarity with D3000 preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on client and office demands
- Ability to develop strategies and manage procedures; ability to exercise judgment and diplomacy in a wide variety of public contact situations.
